What We Offer
Invasive Pine Control
Wilding conifers are an invasive weed that threatens to change our unique landscape.
Pines were introduced into NZ in the 1880s as a way to stabilise the ground and provide shelter belts for farmers. Through natural regeneration these fast growing trees have spread across the country. Left uncontrolled they form dense forests, using up scarce resources.
Norton Contracting Ltd. uses felling, herbicide application and drill and fill techniques to help control the spread
Invasive Pest Control
Using up to date trapping methods with regular checking, we can help to keep control of invasive pests including rats, stoats and possums.
Nasella Tussock Grubbing
Nasella Tussocks are a noxious perennial grass that threatens vast amounts of landscapes. Been unpalatable to livestock and high seeding abilities the species spreads quickly. Flowering occurs in October, so highly recommendable to remove before this begins.
Techniques include digging or grubbing, removing the entire root system to ensure the plants don’t regrow.
